Our Story
SAMAHA Bakery is a family-owned artisan bakery in Northern Michigan, where we create exceptional baklava flights and artisan sourdough breads you won't find anywhere else.
What We Make
Every product is handcrafted in small batches in our ServSafe-certified commercial kitchen in Traverse City. We specialize in premium baklava with unique flavor combinations—from Classic Pecan to Honey Lavender to Cherry Bourbon—alongside naturally-leavened sourdough breads in varieties you won't find at traditional bakeries.
Our baklava features layers of buttery phyllo dough, premium nuts, and aromatic spices, finished with signature honey syrups using the exquisite local products from Hilberts Honey. Each flavor is crafted to showcase exceptional ingredients and bold combinations that honor tradition while embracing creativity.
Our sourdough breads are naturally leavened with our house starter, creating crusty artisan loaves perfect for everything from morning toast to dinner tables. From rustic classics to adventurous varieties like Ube Herb and Beet Garlic, each loaf is a handcrafted work of art.
We also have other baked goods including scones, biscotti, quickbreads, seasonal pies, and other goodies - plus popsicles seasonally.
